Merrick is a partner within our Singapore office with extensive experience in the oil and gas industry. In addition to his legal qualifications, Merrick is also a Chartered Chemical Engineer with over 20 years’ wide-ranging experience in the legal, commercial, business development and engineering aspects of the oil and gas industry. With fourteen years in Asia, Merrick has successfully developed major infrastructure projects and also spent six years working in an engineering and commercial role with British Gas Exploration and Production.

Marc specialises in energy and infrastructure projects throughout Asia and Australia, with a wide range of experience in oil & gas, mining, power and petrochemical projects. Dr. Aung Thura is the founder and CEO of Thura Swiss, a Myanmar-based research and consulting firm specialized in facilitating the market entry of foreign investors into Myanmar. Being a Myanmar national who grew up in Switzerland, Mr. Thura is very well connected in Myanmar and Europe. Before founding Thura Swiss, Dr. Thura worked for various Swiss banks in different roles. He was a structured products and exotic derivatives trader for many years. Mr. Thura has a M.Sc. in mechanical engineering from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich and holds a masterís degree in finance and a doctorate in banking from the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland. Dr. Thura has been invited as a guest lecturer to the Executive MBA program in Yangon and will hold seminars at the Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry in the coming months.
